What are SIGs?

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are actually small groups of Sun City Computer Club members meeting together to discuss a designated computer topic. Generally SIGs are held weekly or monthly but not always. There is no charge or pre-registration required for these SIGs. SIGs are open to all SCCC members.

Komputer Klatch Hour

Komputer Klatch is for ALL Computer Club members. There is always something new to learn at our meetings in Pinckney Hall from 9 -10 AM, most Friday mornings at KK. It’s informal and the topics are wide ranging and cross platforms. Creative, innovative or practical; a KK session can be any or all of these.

Sky Watchers

Next Meeting: Tuesday, November 14, 7:00 pm @ Lakehouse. Doors open at 6:30 PM. The subject will be The Grand Tour: Into Interstellar Space With Voyager I & II on their 40th Anniversary.The focus of the Skywatchers SIG is understanding our universe through space science and astronomy. If you’re interested in understanding the universe around you then this is the SIG for you. This SIG DOES NOT concern itself with astrology, only astronomy and the related subjects of space science.

Genealogy

We meet beginning at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1, at Hidden Cypress. We have an informative program: "Family Tree Maker", build & maintain your Family Tree - Presenter Carol Clemens. Ancestry.com isn’t the only major genealogy site you should use to search for the records of your ancestors.

Microsoft

Microsoft SIG meets on Dec 13, at 3 PM in Hidden Cypress. Exploring Microsoft Notes A panel will answer your questions on Microsoft Notes or anything else.

Apple

Apple Computers, iPhones, iPads, iPods & Apple Watches all play a part in our community. You will be able to connect with others who share your excitement for these products; whether you have one or many. We join together to provide current information and assistance through meetings, help sessions, classes, and newsletters.
